Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed High School (Class 10th) from a recognized board.

• Mandatory Technical Qualification: ITI Certificate in Machinist, Fitter, Wireman, or Turner trades. Alternatively, a certificate in Tube Well Mechanic course is also valid.

• Pre-requisite: Candidate must have appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and possess a valid scorecard.

UP ABT Vacancy 2026 Exam Pattern

The selection is based on a Main Written Examination. Only those shortlisted based on their PET 2025 scores (15 times the number of vacancies) will be eligible for the Mains.

Exam Pattern (Objective Type)

• Total Questions: 100/120 (As per latest syllabus updates)

• Total Marks: 100/120

• Duration: 90 to 120 Minutes

• Negative Marking: 0.25 (1/4th) marks deducted for every wrong answer.

• Time Duration: 60 Minutes (80 minutes for eligible scribes).

• Negative Marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
