• Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in India.
• Stenography: English Shorthand speed of 100 words per minute (wpm).
• Typing: English Typewriting speed of 40 words per minute (wpm).
• IT Knowledge: Essential knowledge of Data Entry, Word Processing, and Computer Operations.

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 35 Years
• Note: Age relaxation is provided to SC, ST, and other reserved categories of Uttar Pradesh as per state government rules.

• Stage-I: CBT & Computer Test (400 Marks Total)
• Part A: General Studies (200 Marks): 100 MCQs covering History, Geography, Polity, Science, and UP-specific knowledge. (90 Minutes)
• Part B: Computer Knowledge (100 Marks): Candidates must reproduce a judgment copy (approx. 500 words) on a computer in 15 minutes. (Min. qualifying: 50 marks)
• Part C: Translation Test (100 Marks): Subjective test involving translation from shorthand to English on a computer. (Min. qualifying: 50 marks)
• Stage-II: Shorthand Dictation Test (200 Marks)
• A 500-word passage will be dictated in English over 5 minutes.
• Candidates must transcribe it on a computer within 30 minutes.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60.
• Stage-III: Interview (75 Marks)
• The final stage is an oral interview to assess personality and general suitability for the role.

The Private Secretary Grade-I position is a Pay Level-10 post under the 7th CPC.

Pay Matrix: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
